Rangers will be desperate to pip Celtic to the Scottish Premiership title after a rather busy transfer window that excited many supporters.
Indeed, the Bluenoses drafted in a number of players this summer as Steven Gerrard continues to build his squad with the Scottish Premiership campaign now underway. And, it doesn’t look as if his business is finished just yet, as according to Sun Sport, Gerrard has admitted that he is on the look-out for English Premier League loan deals.
The transfer window for the English Premier League slammed shut at 5pm on Thursday.
Sadly, Rangers had to wave goodbye to Josh Windass and Declan John, who moved to English Championship sides Wigan Athletic and Swansea City respectively.
But, Steven Gerrard has admitted that he will try and replace them in the coming weeks.
And, with the window in England now shut, the Liverpool legend says that this is something he could look to take advantage of.
“I’ve got confidence in my squad. Obviously a couple of bodies have went out in the last couple of days and with time we will try replace them.”
Gerrard answered “possibly” on two occasions when asked about whether he could take advantage of players that have been left out of Premier League sides and if he has investigated it.
So, Steven Gerrard is eyeing potential additions as he looks to replace Josh Windass and Declan John, while possibly looking at Premier League loan deals.
The Bluenoses will need to strengthen after losing arguably two of their strongest players in their respective positions, so a couple more pieces of business could be expected in the near future.
