Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern will want to see the club perform as well as they did against Bury on Friday when they meet FK Shkupi in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Light Blues ran out as 6-0 winners in Steven Gerrard’s first game in charge of the Ibrox outfit and he will now be turning his attention towards the Macedonian minnows as his first competitive test with the Scottish side.
He will have been pleased to have seen how his players were during the game, considering a host of them were brought to the club this summer, however, it appears he is still in the transfer market for a couple more additions.
One man that has been linked with a move to Glasgow is Millwall’s Jake Cooper but according to a report in the Scottish Sun, it looks unlikely that the defender will be arriving at Ibrox anytime soon.
The media outlet are claiming the Lions are not prepared to entertain any offers for their players this summer and Rangers have been told not to waste his time with trying to bring the 23-year-old north of the border.
Cooper was outstanding for Millwall in the Championship last season and it is no surprise they do not want to lose him this summer.
With the impending departure of Bruno Alves, Gerrard will have been keen to bring another defender to boost his backline, following the arrivals of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic, however, it appears Cooper will not be the man to fill the void.
