Nottingham Forest managed to secure all three points against Rotherham United on Saturday as they seem to be heading in the right direction.
The Championship club have been a mixed bag under Aitor Karanka this season, but it now looks as if they’ve taken a step in the right direction. Although, it appears as if one of their players is attracting interest, as according to The Scotsman, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard wants to sign Joe Worrall permanently.
Joe Worrall joined Scottish Premiership side Rangers on loan during the summer transfer window.
And, the Liverpool legend now wants to bring him to Ibrox permanently.
“We have to be respectful to their parent clubs,”
“The three players you’ve mentioned and Joe Worrall in time will be added to your list – he’s already on mine,”
“They are players we’ve gone for because we rate them very highly. Three of them have settled really well, Joe had a really tough debut [against Villarreal] but came through it very well in my opinion.”
Joe Worrall was pushed out of Aitor Karanka’s plans this season so they won’t be too fussed to see him go permanently, even though they have been defensively vulnerable at times.
Forest will be focused on challenging for the play-offs and ensuring consistency under Karanka, with a number of changes still needing to be made to put things right.
