Sunderland are in a promising position to kick on and enjoy promotion straight back to the Championship under the guidance of Jack Ross.
The Black Cats have won their last two games in all competitions and are currently five games unbeaten, with supporters feeling confident that promotion can be achieved. And, it appears as if the League One club are eyeing a potential addition, as according to the Daily Mail, Sunderland are interested in Glen Kamara.
Sunderland have joined the clubs monitoring Finland international Glen Kamara.
Club scouts watched the all-action 22-year-old former Arsenal midfielder come on as a late substitute during his country’s 1-0 win over Estonia on Friday.
However, Derby County, Burnley, Wolves, Celtic and Rangers have all taken notice of his progress in recent months while there have also been enquiries from clubs in the MLS and eastern Europe.
Glen Kamara has been superb since making the move to Dundee, with a number of clubs all interested in securing his services in the near future. Indeed, the Black Cats could be one of the outside runners for the midfielder’s signature as the likes of Rangers, Burnley, Derby County, Wolves and Celtic have all monitored his progress.
Sunderland released Didier Ndong from his contract recently, so it comes as no surprise that they’re now looking at Glen Kamara, who could be a potential replacement.
