The Scotland international has only managed to make 13 appearances for Brendan Rodgers’ side this term, so it comes as no surprise that a loan move is in the offing.
It’s believed that Jack Ross is keen to sign Morgan on loan, following interest last summer.
Lewis Morgan has plenty of potential and has already shown that he can offer something special at times over in Scotland this season, so he could prove to be a real asset at the Stadium of Light.
Indeed, the likes of Aiden McGeady, George Honeyman and Lynden Gooch have been excellent in attacking areas, so bringing in another impressive attacker could take them to the next level.
