Swansea interested in Rangers’ Ross McCrorie

Swansea interested in Rangers’ Ross McCrorie

Despite all the additions Steven Gerrard is making at Rangers, he could lose one of his players this winter.

According to a report by The Scottish Sun, Ross McCrorie is thought to have attracted the interest of Swansea City and could be the subject of a January transfer bid.

It is believed the Welsh outfit regard the £900k-rated (per Transfermarkt) midfielder highly, however, so do the Light Blues.

Swansea are yet to make their interest in the Scotland Under-21 international official but it does not appear Rangers will be willing to entertain any possible offers.

Gerrard has no interest in letting the 20-year-old leaving Ibrox and has had a spell in the first-team after a number of impressive performances.

McCrorie excelled in their Europa League defeat to Rapid Vienna last month before playing a key role in Rangers’ Old Firm win against Celtic prior to the winter break.

The Verdict:

McCrorie is certainly a player that appears to have a bright future at Rangers and one that they will not want to see leave.

The 20-year-old has made a number of significant contributions to the Gers this season and has helped them to achieve their current Scottish Premiership standing.

However, with a club like Swansea thought to be keen on him, McCrorie could be tempted to try and make a move to the Championship outfit happen, despite Gerrard and Rangers’ desire to keep him at Ibrox.
