Celtic fans here in the Tavern are extremely delighted with how their side performed last time out, as they managed to secure the title against their biggest rivals.
Indeed, the Hoops remain on course for the treble after securing the Scottish Premiership title against Rangers last weekend. But, Brendan Rodgers’ side will now be focused on producing another fine performance in their next outing, as they will travel to Tynecastle to face Hearts tomorrow.
However, Kristoffer Ajer has dropped off the pace of late and desperately needs to improve from here on in, as Rodgers won’t hesitate to bring in a replacement that can get the job done. Sadly, the Norwegian made a number of errors against Rangers last time out, as he struggled to link play with the midfield players in what was a lackluster performance.
With that in mind, Rodgers should look to drop Ajer and hand Jack Hendry a chance in the starting lineup. Here’s who our local punters think should get the nod…
The 22-year-old joined Celtic in the January transfer window as a promising young talent that had impressed during his time at Dundee.
And, it’s fair to say that the youngster hasn’t disappointed at Celtic Park in the current campaign, as he has been able to produce a number of accomplished performances that even an established player would be proud of.
So, with Kristoffer Ajer struggling to ensure consistency at the back for the Hoops, Rodgers should look no further than Jack Hendry, as a determined defender that always seems to deliver when called upon.
