Terrible: Rangers must drop Candeias today and replace him with the much better Morelos

Rangers fans here in the Tavern are extremely disappointed with how their side performed against bitter rivals Celtic, as the Bluenoses were on the receiving end of another heavy defeat.

Sadly, the Gers struggled to handle Celtic in the Old Firm derby last weekend as they looked helpless to say the least, with many of our local residents beginning to turn their back on the club.

So, supporters will be desperate to see their side improve in today’s Scottish Premiership fixture, as they welcome a tough Kilmarnock side to Ibrox.

Although, it looks as if one particular change will need to be made in the starting lineup, as Daniel Candeias doesn’t deserve a place in the side after his performance against Celtic last time out. Indeed, the Portuguese winger allowed Kieran Tierney to get the better of him to set up Celtic’s opener, and he was lucky not to concede a penalty in the build-up to the fourth goal.

This being said, Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson should look to drop Candeias and bring Alfredo Morelos into the starting lineup. Here’s who our local punters think should get the nod…

Alfredo Morelos

Alfredo Morelos has been the standout performer for Rangers in the current campaign as he always seems to find himself on the scoresheet.

Indeed, the Colombian has 18 goals to his name so far this season and there’s still plenty of time left for him to add to his tally, as Rangers will be hoping that he can find the back of the net on a few more occasions from here on in.

Sadly, Graeme Murty made the wrong decision when he opted to start Daniel Candeias, as the winger offered very little in the final third, while the prolific Alfredo Morelos was left to stagnate on the bench.

So, with the Bluenoses desperate to return to winning ways in their Scottish Premiership outing later on today, Alfredo Morelos simply must be inserted into the starting lineup.
