Transfer interest in Celtic man increases with scouts’ eyes fixed on Scottish Cup final

Celtic will have a battle on their hands this summer during the transfer window and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping they are strong enough to resist any lucrative offers for their star men.

The Sun are claiming that Kieran Tierney is attracting plenty of interest from around Europe with a number of club’s ready to test the Bhoys resolve. Atletico Madrid are latest to be considering a move for the 20-year-old, with the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth already making their position known.

The Scotland international has excelled under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers, having made his debut for the club three years ago and continued to raise his stock in the game. Should he leave Celtic Park this summer, it is expected that he will not be allowed to depart for a figure under £20million, although that may not put off some of Europe’s elite.

Interest is understood to have grown in him of late and eyes are thought to be on the Scottish Cup final as the Scotland man aims to secure yet another trophy.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Celtic fans in the Tavern will be desperate to keep hold of Tierney as he has become a fan favourite in his short time at Paradise and still has a bright future at the club.

The locals will feel confident that he will remain at the club, having recently signed a new six-year deal, but will be wary of the interest being shown from the Premier League and La Liga, but will hope the guarantee of first-team football and European competition with the Bhoys will be enough to keep him in Scotland.
