Rangers fans here in the Tavern are hoping for a positive end to the season, as it’s still all to play for in the race for a European place.
The Gers have been the form team in the Scottish Premier League over the past six games, as Graeme Murty seems to have discovered a winning formula at the perfect time in Glasgow. And, this comes as a huge relief for many of our local residents here in the Tavern, as injuries have caused for Murty to deal with slim pickings in weeks gone by. But, negativity now seems to be turning into positivity on the injury front, as according to an update provided by manager Graeme Murty (via Rangers’ Twitter account), Lee Wallace is back in full training, Bruno Alves is in contention for the weekend and an update has been provided on Ross McCrorie.
Indeed, it was believed that club captain Lee Wallace was in contention for the first-team game against Hearts at the weekend, but the latest development suggests that this may be too soon after recently returning to full training.

However, the news that delighted many local Rangers supporters was that Portuguese veteran Bruno Alves is in contention for the weekend’s game, after succumbing to ankle and calf damage during a 0-0 draw in the Old Firm clash back at the start of January.
Lastly, 19-year-old Ross McCrorie was believed to have suffered a setback in his return from injury this week, after failing to be cleared by club doctors as a potential surgery was on the cards for the youngster. But, boss Graeme Murty delivered a slightly more encouraging update ahead of the weekend, as the club are set to allow the defender to recover at his own pace.
Very positive news for Rangers fans as they head into tomorrow’s fixture against Hearts, with Bruno Alves set to iron over any defensive frailties in weeks gone by. And, news that captain Lee Wallace is getting very close to returning to the side is huge, as many of our local residents believe that having the club captain back in their ranks will be crucial. Lastly, youngster Ross McCrorie’s injury now seems to be on the rise, with fears from earlier on in the week now seemingly nowhere near as bad.
