Wes Foderingham could still look for Rangers exit

One Rangers man would have been hoping for a summer move to England, however, he will now be hoping to secure a move somewhere else.

According to a report in The Daily Record’s live transfer blog, Wes Foderingham now finds himself in a difficult situation after he was not transferred on Thursday.

The goalkeeper has been demoted to being the third choice at the Light Blues following the arrival of Allan McGregor and Jak Alnwick’s promotion to back-up.

It also appears that the Englishman does not feature in Steven Gerrard’s plans and would have been desperate to restart his career south of the border.

However, with the transfer window being slammed shut, Foderingham will now be hoping he can get a move to either another Scottish outfit or head out to Europe.

The Verdict:

Foderingham has been a good servant for Rangers over the years, however, the return on former Ger McGregor saw him lose his place.

It comes as a surprise that the shot-stopper did not manage to secure a move to an English side this summer with alleged interest coming from the Championship and the Light Blues’ willingness to sell him.

The 27-year-old has been known to make some mistakes at times, however, he will now be hoping a club can come and rescue him from what could be a long winter away from first-team football.
