It would be safe to say that one transfer that Rangers made this summer that has not gone as they would have liked was Eros Grezda.
The Albania international has struggled to make an impact since joining the Light Blues from NK Osijek.
Steven Gerrard witnessed the winger in action against his side in the early stages of the Europa League and appeared to have been impressed with what he saw.
However, with the number of injury concerns he has had, he has made just 14 appearances across all competitions and has contributed two goals and one assist so far.
If things do not improve for Grezda in the second half of the campaign, Gerrard could look to offload him as quickly as he possibly can – having shown he is not scared to get rid of players he does not deem in his plans.
Although, the attacker’s chances of impressing may have been handed a blow and he could be facing an uphill task in trying to remain with the Scottish Premiership outfit.
The 23-year-old’s future at the club will also not have been helped by the fact that Daniel Candeias, Ryan Kent and Glenn Middleton have all played significant roles in his absence.
The trio have all performed to a top level for the Bluenoses this season, having all had an impact as they look to challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
Jordan Jones is also expected to join up with Rangers in the summer, leaving Grezda possibly six months to try and save his Ibrox career.
