With the Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern oh so annoyed about their prolonged hunt for a new manager, it’s nice for them to see some good news emanate out of the club for once.
While our local Light Blues wait and see who exactly will replace Pedro Caixinha in the Ibrox dugout, claims from the Scottish Sun suggesting two promising young players could be in line for new deals have gown down a real storm this afternoon.
According to their report, both Ross McCrorie and brother Robby could be offered bumper new deals to secure their long-term future to the Gers. The former actually emerged under Caixinha amid a central defensive injury crisis and the 19-year-old has since gone from strength to strength in the starting XI.
He’s a popular figure amongst our punters and his sibling – a ‘keeper currently on loan with Berwick Rangers – may indeed follow suit, according to the Sun’s report.
Landlord’s Verdict:
Rangers have recently been ensuring their young talent is tied down and that can only be a good thing for the club. As you can imagine, the money is fairly tight at Ibrox and it’s important the club try and build from within, if they are ever going to catch Celtic.
Thoughts?
