Rangers: Fans have high hopes for Robby McCrorie as loan move to Livingston is confirmed

Plenty of Rangers fans have been reacting to the news that young goalkeeper Robby McCrorie has joined Livingston on loan for the remainder of the season, as confirmed on Tuesday by rangers.co.uk and subsequently shared on Twitter by @RangersFC.

It is the 21-year-old’s second loan spell away from Ibrox in the current campaign, having also spent time at Queen of the South in the first half of the season before being recalled by the ‘Gers in recent days.
Although McCrorie has yet to make a competitive appearance for Rangers’ first team, he has been getting plenty of senior experience elsewhere. He was loaned out to Greenock Morton for the second half of last season, where he shipped just 15 goals in as many appearances and kept six clean sheets (40% of games), while he had started all 19 league games for Queen of the South this term, conceding 21 goals in the Championship (1.11 per game).
He has been capped 10 times by Scotland at under-21 level and won the Player of the Month prize at Queen of the South three times in a row earlier this season, giving an indication of his potential, and these Rangers fans have high hopes for McCrorie once he returns from his loan spell at Livingston:
Future number 1

Considering how well Liam Kelly developed there sounds like a good move for the lad. Hopefully does well and can be the 2nd choice for when Fod eventually goes

Good to see Robby getting a move to a Premiership side, will be interesting to see how he does. Possibly another loan deal next year at a top flight team then see if he’s ready to take over from Allan McGregor as Rangers no1.
