I’m very disappointed to be missing the game on the 29th. A decision has been made but I did everything in my power to stay for the match. I am a proud Australian but also love my club. The 26-year-old is arguably one of Celtic’s best players and his absence could be a huge blow for the club on Saturday.
Valued at £2.48million by Transfermarkt, the Australian would likely have played a key role in the game as the Bhoys look to overcome the challenge of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers once again.
However, Rodgers’ team will need to cope without him for the Old Firm clash and will still have a sense of confidence that they can get the positive result they want over their arch-rivals.
