Will Conte bring Serie A back to San Siro?
Here are reports on a trio of Internazionale players out on loan, with a goal, assist and continuing recovery being earned while their teams secured positive results.
Mauro Icardi – Paris Saint Germain
Mauro Icardi scored his first league goal for Paris Saint Germain, as the French champions went on to beat Angers 4-0 at Parc des Princes, before being substituted off for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the 72nd minute.
The strike he scored from was his only one on target, as his other effort went wayward, as per WhoScored, though he showed good play in the build-up to Idrissa Gueye’s goal, turning well before playing in Bernat, as shown in the highlights video on the BT Sport YouTube channel.
Xian Emmers – Waasland-Beveren
Waasland-Beveren came back from 1-0 down against KV Oostende to win the game 3-1, earning their first victory of the season, as per Voetbal Krant.
Xian Emmers played an integral role in securing the points, as he assisted Andreas Wiegel’s goal that put the team ahead on the day.
Having drawn their last three in a row, this result takes Waasland-Beveren to 14th in the Jupiler Pro League table.
Radja Nainggolan – Cagliari
Radja Nainggolan has continued his recovery from the calf injury that kept him out for three league games this season, as per Transfermarkt.
Having previously come on for the final 22 minutes of the draw against Hellas Verona, the 31-year-old played 75 minutes against AS Roma, helping them pick up another point.
The Belgian was a strong defensive presence, making 2 successful tackles, 3 clearances and 1 interception, as well as winning 2 aerial duels, as per WhoScored.
The biggest bonus for these players will be Nainggolan getting back in the starting lineup after his injury, especially as he was able to help earn a point against Roma.
It is also big for Icardi and Emmers that they were able to get their first goal contributions in the league during the weekend.
