Stefano Sensi could be set to make his return for Internazionale against Bologna, as reported by Calciomercato.
The midfielder was forced off after 34 minutes of the Nerazzurri’s 2-1 loss against Juventus and has missed the four games across all competitions since then.
Antonio Conte is said to be keen for the 24-year-old to feature against Bologna, so he can get some match fitness ahead of their vital Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund.
It would be a massive boost for Inter if the Italy international was able to feature, as signified by the impact that he had before picking up his injury.
He was an integral player for the team, making 8 starts and 1 substitute appearance across Serie A and the Champions League, as per WhoScored.
In the league, he has managed 3 goals and 2 assists, while averaging 1.9 key passes, 1 dribble, 1.6 tackles and 0.7 interceptions per game, as well as completing 87.3% of the passes that he has attempted.
If Sensi is able to pick up where he left off before the injury regarding his form, then he can certainly help Inter pick up some points in the near future, both in Serie A and the Champions League.
With this in mind, it is understandable that Conte is eager to get him on the pitch against Bologna.
