Not many people have heard of Inter Milan’s Rene Krhin, but he is a player you should look out for. The young Slovenian is a fixture in the Inter Primavera side – that’s the youth team to you and me. His performances attracted the interest of Jose Mourinho and he was subsequently moved to train with the first team as of this season.
He has only started one match and introduced as a sub on two occasions in Serie A this season, impressing against Parma in particular.
The 19 year old has also been capped twice by his country and made his debut in a friendly on 5 September 2009, in a 1–2 loss to England.
Highly regarded by Inter and Jose, the tall attacking midfielder is attracting interest from a number of English teams, Liverpool and Manchester City in particular, but a price tag of £9 million may make them think twice for a player of only pure potential.
Krhin was in the Slovenian squad for the World Cup play-off against Russia is likely to feature in South Africa. Joining a list of new, young Inter stars, how long will he be hanging around Serie A for?
