Many Juventus fans are calling for Merih Demiral after claims that Matthijs de Ligt will not be available for their match on the weekend against AC Milan.
In response to the tweet, there has been an overwhelming amount of fans suggesting that Turkish defender Merih Demiral needs to play, rather than Daniele Rugani.
So far this season, Demiral as made just one appearance in the league, playing the full match as his side beat Verona 2-1 on September 21. He didn’t have the best of games, with WhoScored giving him just a 5.81/10 rating.
De Ligt, on the other hand, has played much more this season – though that perhaps shouldn’t come as so much of a surprise considering his transfer fee of £67.5m. From his eight appearances, he has managed to get an average rating of 6.67/10, per WhoScored.
Despite Demiral not having the best of times in his first game, fans are still demanding he gets a chance this weekend if De Ligt cannot pull through.
Here are some of the replies from fans below…
Sarri is making the same mistake Allegri made with Benatia.. Hope I we don't get punished for this in the CL

Still no Demiral, Sarri is ruining the boy’s career.

Just play with no defenders, they can’t buy a goal.
