Juventus: Some fans want Maurizio Sarri sacked despite unbeaten start to Serie A season

Juventus could face a tough title race against Inter Milan this year, with the teams just one point apart after nine games. Juventus’ draw at then-16th-placed Lecce on Saturday meant they failed to capitalise on Inter also drawing 2-2 with Parma. Despite being unbeaten in the league, it seems Maurizio Sarri isn’t having it all his own way back in his home country.
For a manager who loves his teams to have the ball at their feet, they’ve had an average of just 57.1% possession in Serie A this season, and that drops to 56.5% in the Champions League despite being in a group with Lokomotiv Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen and typically defence-minded Atletico Madrid. However, they did have 25 shots against Lecce, but just four hit the target.
Fans are growing tired of a team that is doing just enough to remain top of the table, having won their last three victories in all competitions by just one goal, and some are even calling for Sarri to leave. Juventus’ Twitter account posted the final score on Saturday with the caption “plenty of chances created but it finishes in a draw at the Via del Mare” and fans jumped into the replies to express their annoyance at the team’s difficulties.

How do you expect to win anything with Sarri? It’s clear we struggle away to serie b teams! If I was Juve, I would hire Mourinho, not Sarri.

Sarri turned Juve into an average team. The guy is clueless about football.
