Though the punters in the Transfer Tavern have been wondering just what they will do with their evenings now
Love Island Euro 2016 is finished, the Manchester United fans in this morning for breakfast have not a care in the world.
That’s because, according to Squawka, the Red Devils are confident of wrapping up a world-record £100m deal for Juventus superstar Paul Pogba within 48 hours, now the European Championships are done and dusted.
The player’s agent, the infamous Mino Raiola, is said to have agreed a stunning £300k-per-week deal with the club while the 23-year old conducted his business with Les Blues.
Though no bid has yet been tabled, it is understood the Manchester giants are ready to structure a deal of £100m to lure the midfield powerhouse back to the Theatre of Dreams, where he left for under £1m in 2012.
Interest from Real Madrid is believed to have subsided after baulking at the fee, clearing the path for Jose Mourinho.
Should United sign Pogba, will they win the league?
