Paris Saint-Germain star to quit?

ibra.jpgTalk of Zlatan Ibrahimovic making a return to Serie A has surfaced once again inside the Football Transfer Tavern, this time via sources at Sky Sports.

The Swedish international forward has only been at Paris Saint-Germain since the summer, but has admitted he is ‘flattered’ by reports linking him with a return to Serie A in which he thrived so often previously.

Italian champions Juventus are said to be interested, whilst AC Milan have also been linked, although the latter admitted a deal would be unlikely last week due to the fee and wages the 31-year-old forward would demand.

“If Juventus really want me, it would be an honour for me to play for them,” he told Sky Sports Italia. “They are a fantastic club with a great team and a great project.

“It’s an honour that they are interested in me, but at this time I am only thinking about PSG and winning the title with them.”

Like AC Milan previously,¬†Juventus’ general director Giuseppe Marotta has moved to quash peculation linking Ibrahimovic with the club, revealing his high wage demands would again prove a stumbling block.

“Juventus, as well as other Italian teams simply cannot afford to buy Ibrahimovic,” Marotta claimed.

“He would have to cut his wages, but I don’t think it would be possible.”

Ibrahimovic is currently under contract with PSG until 2015, which makes his comments all the more surprising.
