### The Verdict: Potential blow for Owls

It is important that Wednesday do their best to keep hold of their best young talent, allowing more seasoned [out-of-contract players](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sheffield-wednesday/vertragsende/verein/1035) to leave instead this summer.

Hagan may not be the finished the article, but he is someone who could shine in League One – the fact that top flight sides are vying for his signature tells you exactly how much potential he has.

To lose him at such a young age would be an undoubted blow for the Owls, at a time when the club really could do with some positive news.
