Ramsdale looks to be on his way to the Gunners after the two clubs agreed a fee of around £24 million up-front, with another £6 million in add-ons contingent on whether he can secure himself the number one jersey at the Emirates Stadium \[[The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/aug/18/arsenal-set-to-sign-aaron-ramsdale-from-sheffield-united-in-30m-deal)\].

### The Verdict: Sheffield United must re-invest

Unlikely to stay at the club following Premier League relegation last term, receiving £30million for Ramsdale seems about as good as it gets for the Blades here.

In 2020/21, the England international recorded six clean sheets in 42 appearances encompassing all competitions \[[Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aaron-ramsdale/leistungsdaten/spieler/427568/plus/0?saison=2020)\].
