# Sheffield United: Fans buzzing over David McGoldrick’s Instagram post

**Sheffield United continue to shock the Premier League as they battle for a European spot, and their campaign got even better as they managed to beat [Chelsea 3-0](https://www.sofascore.com/chelsea-sheffield-united/psN) at the weekend.**

The result now means that the Blades sit seventh in the division, two points above Tottenham Hotspur in eighth and one point behind Wolves in sixth, per [BBC Sport.](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table)

Striker David McGoldrick was the Man of the Match and rightly so as he scored two of the goals and picked up an 8.8 rating, per [SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/chelsea-sheffield-united/psN).

It was a big day for the Irishman and his 1.6 shots per game on average has finally paid off as the brace represented his first ever Premier League goals, per [WhoScored.](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/18501/Show/David-McGoldrick)

Obviously he would have been over the moon following the game, and he went to Instagram to express his joy as he [posted](https://www.instagram.com/p/CCiaihzlKn7/) an image of himself celebrating one of his goals and supported it with the caption, “Good day in the office !!!! [#400shotslater.”](https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/400shotslater/)

Many Sheffield United supporters have flocked to the post to praise the striker, who finally broke his duck with his 42nd shot at goal in the Premier League this term ([Sky Sports](https://twitter.com/SkySportsStatto/status/1281995254128881664)).

Hopefully now he can continue scoring for the final three games of the season to give the Blades a chance of making Europe.
