[The Star report](https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-united/latest-blades-news/sheffield-united-leeds-midfielder-is-on-the-blades-radar-488671?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter) that Chris Wilder is interested in bringing in a midfielder in the final hours of the summer transfer window, and that Leeds man Kalvin Phillips could be the name that comes through the entrance door.

The 23-year-old midfielder has also attracted interest from Aston Villa this summer, with [the Telegraph previously reporting](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/06/12/aston-villa-target-leeds-united-midfielderkalvin-phillips-14m/) that the Villans were to bid £14m for the Championship midfielder.

With news of a potential late swoop for Phillips on the horizon, Sheffield United fans were excited about the prospect of the club signing another exciting player from the Championship to go alongside the signings of Oli McBurnie and Luke Freeman, and supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the interest in the Leeds player.

Here is what some Sheffield United fans had to say on Twitter…

Wilder has broken the Blades transfer record four times this summer ([per the Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/07/premier-league-201920-preview-no-15-sheffield-united)).
