He made one appearance in the Championship and two in the League Cup. He clearly is not seen as a choice to use at the club, and with his young age, the club decided to [loan him](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jake-eastwood/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/526873) out to League 2 side Scunthorpe this season. Whilst at the Iron, he played [16](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jake-eastwood/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/526873) times in the division, League Cup and the FA Cup, conceding 19 goals whilst keeping seven clean sheets. This highlights that he can certainly perform at League 2 level and with Simon Moore, Michael Verrips and Foderingham on the books at Bramall Lane, as well as the potential [return of Dean Henderson](https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-united/sheffield-united-have-not-given-re-signing-dean-henderson-head-turning-buys-ruled-out-2917854) next season, it would probably be best for both parties if Eastwood made the move to Bolton on loan, as he could play consistent football and grow as a goalkeeper, whilst Sheffield United would be able monitor his development. ***Blades fans, what are your thoughts on this news?
