# Leeds: Fans react to Sheffield United’s interest in Kalvin Phillips

**Kalvin Phillips is a player who has been highly sought after over recent months and, as long as he continues his impressive form, that interest is unlikely to subside.**

He has been key to Leeds once again this term and may lead them to promotion, averaging a [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/270446/Show/Kalvin-Phillips) rating of 7.1 as well as making 2.8 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per league game. It is no surprise that the club reportedly requested a [£30m offer from Aston Villa](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-aston-villa-transfer-news-17383050) last summer.

Now, [the Sun’s Alan Nixon](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11020522/sheffield-united-leeds-kalvin-phillips/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1582410973) suggests there is interest in the 24-year-old from another Premier League club, Sheffield United, with a fee of [£20m](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/11020522/sheffield-united-leeds-kalvin-phillips/?utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=sunfootballtwitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1582410973) being talked about should the Blades qualify for the Champions League. The likelihood of such a deal is dependent on certain outcomes this season, with Leeds very much in the promotion picture in the Championship, and if they do indeed go up, then that could cause Phillips’ value to rise.

As a result, many Leeds fans are sceptical that a deal will be pursued, and are confident of keeping their midfielder because of that.

Here is some of the reaction to the transfer report.
