A number of Sheffield United supporters have been praising Slavisa Jokanovic after he sent a message to injured Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott.

The Blades enjoyed a memorable afternoon on Saturday, cruising to a stunning 6-2 win at home to Peterborough United.

It was their most positive day of the season so far and one which hinted that United may have found their groove back in the Championship following a disappointing start to the campaign.

Jokanovic took charge of the Blades in the summer and his reputation has not only been enhanced by the result but also a touching gesture on Sunday evening.

The 53-year-old sent a message to stricken youngster Elliott on Twitter after the teenager suffered a dislocated ankle in Liverpool's 3-0 win away to Leeds United, which is likely to rule him out of action for a long period.

Jokanovic managed the youngster during their mutual time at Fulham and it was nice to see him showing his love for a young player with a bright future as he tweeted: "I wish you a speedy recovery, Harvey".
