Sheffield United are looking to start their transfer business early and the latest reports suggest they will attempt to bring in a young star on loan for next season.

According to The Express, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is unsure on his plans for Rhian Brewster next season. Klopp sees him as a future prospect but the Blades are keen to sign him on loan next campaign.

This loan might give Brewster more of a chance to play consistent Premier League football which could tempt Liverpool to allow him to go to Bramall Lane for the season.

The 20 year-old has made 21 appearances on loan at Championship side Swansea City this season and he has scored 10 goals whilst managing on average 2.4 shots on target per game, via WhoScored.

He has shown his potential at the club and also in the past as he won the U17 World Cup with England and picked up the Golden Boot in the tournament with eight goals, per Transfermarkt.

This could be a very clever move for the Blades, as they currently have some decent forwards in their squad, including Oliver McBurnie, David McGoldrick, Billy Sharp, and Lys Mousset. However with Sharp and McGoldrick 34 and 32, they might not be ones that the club can rely on for the whole of next season and to have a good young back up like Brewster would be handy to have.

It would just be a loan, so works for both parties as the Blades would not have to spend a lot to acquire him and he gets much-needed experience in England's top flight.
