# Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to Joey Pelupessy’s post about Atdhe Nuhiu

**Sheffield Wednesday will have to decide on the future of Atdhe Nuhiu sooner rather than later, as his contract is due to expire when the [season](https://twitter.com/domhowson/status/1285157202861477888?s=20) ends. A lot of the fan base are reacting to fellow player [Joey Pelupessy’s Instagram story post](https://www.instagram.com/joeypelupessy/?hl=en) as it looks like the Owls have decided not the keep Nuhiu at the club.**

The Kosovo forward has featured 276 times for the Owls in all competitions and scored 50 goals whilst registering 27 assists, per [Transfermarkt.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/atdhe-nuhiu/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/53436/plus/0?saison=&verein=1035&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) Meanwhile defensive midfielder Pelupessy has made 67 appearances for Wednesday since he has joined, managing to pick up a goal and assist, per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joey-pelupessy/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/187293/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB2&pos=&trainer_id=).

His [post](https://twitter.com/LiveSwfc/status/1285819019774373888?s=20) clearly looked to be a tribute to Nuhiu, as Pelupessy said, ‘Amazing last training session with the big man and the boys.’

The post is perhaps not receiving the expected reception as some wish goodbye to the forward, and they also believe it is the best time for him to go. However it has also prompted many to speak about the Dutch midfielder, and clearly his performances have not impressed as many would like the [£540,000](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joey-pelupessy/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/187293/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB2&pos=&trainer_id=) valued player to depart.

He has been criticised on [many](https://www.footballfancast.com/championship/sheffield-wednesday/sheffield-wednesday-fans-reaction-millwall-draw-slam-joey-pelupessy) occasions by the fan base this season. [Yorkshire Live’](https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/joey-pelupessys-statistics-analysed-fights-17802628)s article back in March highlighted that there are better midfielder’s than him at the club, as the Owls have a better win rate with him out of the side, whilst Pelupessy also gives the ball away more. This may emphasise why many would like to see him leave in the summer.

Here is what they said following the [tweet](https://twitter.com/LiveSwfc/status/1285819019774373888?s=20):

> Can’t Joey go with him. Another one that I’m sure gives 100%, but unfortunately he isn’t good enough.
