Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore has ‘made it very clear’ that he won’t be leaving the League One giants, according to journalist Joe Crann.

The Owls boss has done a remarkable job since taking over at the helm, especially this season as his side find themselves at the top of the table, and his work seems to have caught the eye of one club in particular.

The Daily Mail recently claimed that the 48-year-old could have been set to return to West Brom should Carlos Corberan have moved to Leeds, but with him since signing a new contract at the Hawthorns, those rumours have been firmly put to bed.

The Latest: Crann’s update

Taking to Twitter, Crann relayed a message from Moore confirming his stance on his future at Hillsborough, revealing that he has no intentions to depart.

“'Everybody knows, and I can say it now, I'm committed to Wednesday - and you know I've got a big job here to do.'

"Darren Moore has made it very clear that he’s happy where he is at Sheffield Wednesday - he’s going nowhere.”

The Verdict: Massive boost

Moore has managed to form an unbelievably close-knit group at Wednesday, which shows both on and off the pitch, so it’ll be a real boost for everyone to learn that he is determined to fulfil his ambitions in Yorkshire.

The Birmingham-born coach has an outstanding record in the dugout this season, winning 24, drawing eight and losing just seven of his 39 games, where he’s currently averaging 2.05 points per match (Transfermarkt).

Moore is currently on course to achieve automatic promotion with the Owls which could potentially see him on par with West Brom in the Championship anyway, so with the future looking bright, there’s no need for him to move elsewhere.
