Sheffield Wednesday are preparing for their match against Coventry City in the Championship this weekend and Tony Pulis has revealed which players are unavailable.

The latest on Sheffield Wednesday

Journalist Dom Howson tweeted: "Asked TP about Cameron Dawson. He's out for the next six weeks with a knee problem. Keiren Westwood is back in full training and could return tomorrow."

Blow for Dawson

With the club having a heavily congested fixture list, minimal injuries are a great bonus. The two goalkeepers have not been seen for a while, with Joe Wildsmith seen as the number one choice. However the club will obviously like them to return so that there is competition at the back and incase the current number one suffers an injury himself.

Wildsmith has put in a decent shift despite the club being bottom of the league. He has kept three clean sheets in his ten appearances and only conceded eleven goals (Transfermarkt).

However the news that the more experienced Westwood could return will be welcomed news. It is a big blow for Dawson however, and sadly he might struggle to get much game time when he returns from injury if Westwood returns to his best.
