Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react as club announce partnership with Wednesday Bet

On the pitch, Sheffield Wednesday have struggled this season as they sit 16th in the Championship with only one game left to play (against Middlesbrough tonight); and off the pitch, they have announced a new partnership which hasn’t gone down well with some of the club’s fan base.
Earlier today, the Owls announced a new partnership with ‘Wednesday Bet’, an application through which supporters of the club can predict the outcome of select games and markets involving Wednesday to win a share of a cash prize pool from every game.
Following the announcement, plenty of Owls fans clearly went to go on the new app, but it already seems to be facing difficulties as many supporters flocked to the tweet to complain that it is not working for them. Meanwhile, others are not supportive of the idea as one said, ‘Nothing dodgy going on at all here, another loophole in the FFP’.
Here is what these fans had to say following Sheffield Wednesday’s tweet announcing the launch of the app:
We are pleased to announce a brand new partnership with Wednesday Bet, the unique app in which supporters predict the outcome of select #swfc markets to win a share of a cash prize pool from every game!

Tried to register. Says registration failed at the end. Anyone else found this? Doesn’t say why it’s failed.
