Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react as Tony Pulis takes off substitute Jordan Rhodes

Many Sheffield Wednesday fans are furious with manager Tony Pulis following one of the tactical decisions he made in the 0-0 draw against Stoke City.
It hasn’t been a good start to the Championship campaign this season for Jordan Rhodes. He has only scored one goal this season, and he would have liked to change that as he was brought on at half-time for Liam Shaw in the Pulis derby against Stoke on Saturday.
However, he was then substituted off himself in the 85 minute, so only lasted forty minutes in the match.
Clearly Pulis was not best pleased with the performance from the striker, and some of the stats highlight why he was taken off as he only managed eight touches and didn’t have a single shot (SofaScore).
Despite this, the Owls fans showed their frustration for Pulis taking him off, with many thinking it was poor man-management, as one called the decision ‘shocking’.
With Rhodes only scoring 14 goals in 84 appearances, he is definitely short of confidence, and these latest actions will not do him the world of good.
Here is what Sheffield Wednesday fans said following the substitution:

Disgraceful treatment of Rhodes. He’s only just come on!

Don’t agree with that at all with bringing Rhodes off. A player who already has little confidence. Shocking #swfc

Got to feel for Rhodes the lad is clearly lacking confidence and the he subbed off after only been subbed on at half time dont get the reasoning for that #SHWSTO #swfc

If you want to ruin any confidence that Rhodes may have had, that’s how to do it #swfc

Rhodes has got every right to be furious #swfc
