Sheffield Wednesday have allowed manager Garry Monk to change his backroom staff, and one of the new coaches, Andrew Hughes, has been discussing his future with the club.
The club posted a clip of his interview on Twitter, in which he said: “I am just looking forward to them pushing each other and earning the right to play, earning the right to wear the Sheffield Wednesday badge.
“First and foremost, you want to see players that want to play and fight for their place and take on board the information that we are giving them. Look, players make mistakes, coaches make mistakes and managers make mistakes but you don’t mean to make mistakes so it is how they react to it.”
This shows the passion he wants the players to show and it has received quite a positive reaction from most of the Owls fan base. It is understandable to see why as all supporters want to see is the team trying their best and giving their all so if a coach is going to come in and make sure they do that then it should hopefully bring some positive results.
Despite the troubles Wednesday have off the pitch at the moment as they currently have a 12 point deduction to deal with next campaign, there are definitely some good things that have happened since last season finished as they have changed the backroom staff and already signed three players.
Here is what fans said following the tweet:
Good shout that mate that’s what we need to hear we want players who will die for the greatest badge in football just like we supporters would
