Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to Dom Howson tweet about their position in the division

Many Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to a tweet from journalist Dom Howson about the Owls and their current position in the Championship.
Howson posted a picture of the league table, and said: ‘Still just four points adrift of safety.’
This optimistic viewpoint may be a good one to take as things looked a lot bleaker at the start of the season after they had a 12 point deduction, but it seems plenty of Wednesday fans aren’t as positive as Howson.
They do still sit bottom of the table however, but as it currently stands, five sides are heavily involved in the relegation dog fight and this should definitely be a positive for the Owls.
The arrival of new manager Tony Pulis has not brought the victories that the club desperately needs. Wednesday haven’t won in their last seven games, and this is not the form they want to be currently in whilst they are fighting for their lives to remain in the Championship.
If they can get a win on the weekend, it would be a huge boost and add a lot of pressure to the other sides around them in the table.
Here is what Owls fans had to say in reply to Howson’s Tweet:
And it ain’t going to get any better dom even with spending in jan

Can only see it widening at the moment. Teams I was expecting to be in the mix with us are pulling away, so it feels actually greater than 4 points

Even without the point deduction we’d be worried, the team isn’t exactly functioning

Just 4 points ha ha ha. Since Pulis arrived we have got a massive 3 points from 18.

We can’t rely on others to keep dropping points. Need some wins, but where are they coming from?
