Sheffield Wednesday lost 2-1 to Middlesborough in the finale of the Championship season on Wednesday evening. The result meant that they ended the campaign in 16th, which is four positions lower than the season before, and a lot of the fan base are reacting to a tweet from Dom Howson following the end of the term.

It has been Garry Monk's first season in charge, and it looks to be one which has not impressed Owls fans. Howson, who is the Sheffield Wednesday writer at Yorkshire Live, tweeted some stats which portray how bad the campaign was.

According to the journalist, since the 22nd of December, they have only managed to win four times, pick up 17 points from 23 matches, win one of their 12 home games, and only score once in the first half at Hillsborough in 2020.

This clearly is a very poor record and it is understandable to see why fans were so frustrated upon reading this. Monk will have to do better next season if he wants to stay at the club.
