Sheffield Wednesday are preparing for the 2020/21 Championship season and they are currently in pre-season looking to get the squad ready for the first game on 12th September.
Manager Garry Monk has already received some backing in this transfer window as the Owls have already signed Chey Dunkley, Isaiah Brown and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, per Transfermarkt. He has also been allowed some changes in the backroom staff with former striker James Beattie one of the new coaches to join the club.
Monk has been speaking to the media team at the club about these additions as well as pre-season and a lot of the fan base have been reacting to his comments as he said: “Everyone involved, not just me, the staff, the players, everyone, we have tried to connect that unity. That spirit will be essential.”
The comments here exactly sum up the mentality he is trying to bring to the club which is one of togetherness, and he will be hoping that with the new additions and this unity, the Owls will finish higher than last season which wasn’t the best campaign as they finished 16th.
Here is what fans said following the news and whilst some got on board with the positivity, others still seem to think he isn’t the right man for the job following their poor league standing last term:
We will see! He’s been backed so no excuses now Garry 👊🏼👊🏼

Does that include Kieran Westwood, the BEST goalkeeper in the Champ/Ship. What about Kiren Lee, is he out in the cold or has he just disappeared/released without any recognition of dedicated service to SWFC
