Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to news Kieran Lee is training at Bolton
Many Sheffield Wednesday fans are reacting to the latest news on midfielder Kieran Lee, who left the club in the summer.
Dom Howson has provided the latest update on the former Owls ace, who looks to have possibly found a new club since becoming a free agent. He is currently on trial at League Two side Bolton Wanders and although this is a big drop, the 32 year-old will probably want to be playing consistently in the latter stages of his career, so it could be the perfect thing for him.
Lee had been a great servant at Hillsborough ever since he arrived on a free transfer from Oldham Athletic back in 2012, (Transfermarkt). He went on to make 217 appearances as a defensive midfielder, scoring 22 goals and picking up 15 assists along the way. Clearly he was highly appreciated at the club, with one fan calling him a ‘brilliant servant’ in reaction to the latest news.
When his contract expired in the summer, there were rumours that they might give him an extension, however this never came to fruition.
