Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to Tony Pulis’ latest comments on the squad - Sheffield Wednesday News

Many Sheffield Wednesday fans are reacting to the latest comments from manager Tony Pulis in the aftermath of the Huddersfield defeat.

Speaking in his press conference before the club face Barnsley, Pulis reflected on the Huddersfield loss and also spoke about the squad. He said: “Fingers crossed, Huddersfield was just one of those games. They came back in yesterday and were bright, they are together. They have worked well in training. If you look at the games, we deserve more points than what we have, we have made basic errors.”

Arguably these comments sound quite generic and it seems like it has not worked to uplift the Owls fanbase. They are not happy, with one fan saying ‘it’s unacceptable’.

It is understandable to see why many fans are frustrated, the club still sit bottom of the Championship and have not picked up a win in their last seven games. With gap between the bottom five sides and 19th place already six points, it looks like a very tough task for the Owls to finish higher than 20th this campaign, especially with them nine points from 19th. If they want to get away from this relegation battle, wins need to come immediately.

Here is what Sheffield Wednesday fans said following the comments from Pulis:
