Sheffield Wednesday: Fans thrilled to see Osaze Urhoghide sign a new deal

Sheffield Wednesday starlet Osaze Urhoghide has committed his short-term future with the club.
The 19-year-old has penned an extra 12 months on his contract and becomes part of Garry Monk’s plans to resurrect some form in his struggling team.
As it stands, the Owls are currently 15th in the Championship table after losing 15 games this campaign. Second tier fixtures will recommence on June 20 and Monk will have his chance to end the season on a high.

Urhoghide becomes another player in whom the manager has put his faith recently, with Matt Penney and Joey Pelupessy also extending their stay with the team.
Some Wednesday fans have responded to the news on the youngster’s new deal and are delighted to see his commitment. One supporter has commented on the update saying “Now this is good news” whilst another has said “That’s more like it”. It will be a welcome surprise for many Wednesdayites who may have been worrying about a mass exodus this summer.
Prior to the new contracts, Monk was potentially looking at 17 senior players leaving the club, which included 12 first team Owls and five loanees.
