The Latest: Duo set to face Port Vale

According to Yorkshire Live journalist Dom Howson, both players will be given 'another opportunity to impress' on Tuesday evening when Darren Moore's side take on Port Vale behind closed doors.

Jasper and Uwakwe both featured against West Brom last week and will now hope to catch the manager's eye once more with a view to potentially securing contracts with the League One club.

The Verdict: Ideal audition

This is a great opportunity for Jasper and Uwakwe to prove their worth and show Moore that they are worth adding to Sheffield Wednesday's squad on a permanent basis.

Jasper has been given a handful of senior appearances at Fulham and was prolific for their underage teams (Transfermarkt), while Uwakwe gained valuable senior experience on loan at Accrington Stanley last term, impressing with eight goal contributions in 21 appearances.

Both are young players who will hope to have bright careers and they could add youth and vibrancy to a squad that Moore is trying to make his own as the Owls seek to win immediate promotion from League One.

In other news, one Sheff Wed player is reportedly close to an exit from the club. Find out who it is here.
