Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to to reshuffle in the coaching department at the club

Sheffield Wednesday announced earlier in the week that Gary Monk had changed his backroom staff as James Beattie became the assistant manager, whilst Darryl Flahavan was appointed as the new goalkeeping coach.
The duo had recently left Birmingham City, seemingly with intentions to make the move to Hillsborough. However, when such changes happen, supporters may wonder what will happen with the staff who were in those roles previously, and it seems like the newcomers are part of a wider reshuffle around the Yorkshire club.
The Star journalist Dom Howson broke the news of further changes at Sheffield Wednesday as he tweeted: ‘Neil Thompson will remain as part of Garry Monk’s coaching team. Lee Bullen will take up the position of Under-23 coach. Nicky Weaver will become head of academy goalkeeping. #SWFC’
Many Owls fans have been reacting to these appointments and it seems like many are happy with the changes, although some are naturally a bit sceptical.
However, that this reshuffle is happening is a good sign for the club as it looks like Garry Monk is being allowed to control how the team is managed, so hopefully this will improve their fortunes for the 2020/21 campaign.
Here is what these Wednesday fans said following the news from Howson:
Neil Thompson will remain as part of Garry Monk's coaching team.
Lee Bullen will take up the position of Under-23 coach.
Nicky Weaver will become head of academy goalkeeping. #SWFC
