Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react as Joe Crann pours cold water on Atdhe Nuhiu talks

Sheffield Star journalist Joe Crann has poured cold water on talk that striker Atdhe Nuhiu could make a shock return to Sheffield Wednesday ahead of the new season.
Reports had emerged that the striker, whose previous contract at Hillsborough has expired, had said in an interview whilst on international duty with Kosovo that he was in talks over a new deal with the Owls.
However, Crann has now suggested that no such discussions were taking place, despite Wednesday still actively looking for new strikers to bring to the club.
Indeed, as it stands Jordan Rhodes is the only recognised centre-forward at the South Yorkshire club, with new signing Elias Kachunga used more as a wide player during his time with Huddersfield. Garry Monk may hope to have at least one new face in up front by the time they take on Cardiff City in their Championship opener on Saturday.
Loads of Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to the update that Nuhiu is not in talks to return, with the majority delighted about it. They suggest that the club should be moving on from the 31-year-old, who only managed to score 50 goals in his 277 appearances during his spell in S6.
