Sheffield Wednesday: Fans react to Joe Crann tweet about Kamohelo Mokotjo

With the transfer window open, fans across the globe are discussing who they would like their club to sign. There are always players you can find who are free agents, and a lot of the Sheffield Wednesday fan base are reacting to a tweet from journalist Joe Crann about one free transfer the Owls should look at.
The Sheffield Wednesday writer for The Star has identified midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo as someone that could be a good addition for the club, as he said: ‘Kamo Mokotjo leaving Brentford on a free. I’d have him at #SWFC in a heartbeat, personally. Classy midfielder with a great eye for a pass and one of the calmest players I’ve ever seen.’
The South African has been a solid player for Brentford for three seasons, playing 102 games in all competitions, scoring six and assisting seven, per Transfermarkt. This experience he has could be exactly what the Owls are looking for to strengthen their squad for the season.
Experience in this division is crucial as the Owls have a 12 point deduction for the 2020/21 Championship season, so face a huge battle to stay in the division. To be able to get someone like Mokotjo on a free, as Brentford did not extend his contract, would definitely be a good bit of business especially when you consider his market value is £1.44m.
As it stands, Wednesday only have four central midfielders (not including Kieran Lee who is out of contract) so to add someone of Mokotjo’s quality in a position that is lacking depth would be ideal.

100% would be a great signing for #swfc. Seems too thoughtful and proactive for us to do something like that, though.

Would be a great signing. You never know if you don’t try weather he’d come or not

@YesWeCrann get on to the club. Give them a heads up, our scouting system have probably never heard of him!
