Dom Howson has provided an update on reported Sheffield Wednesday transfer target Reo Griffiths and a lot of Owls fans are reacting to the news.
The Yorkshire Live journalist tweeted: ‘Contrary to reports, I’m told #SWFC are not eyeing up a loan move for Lyon striker Reo Griffiths as they close in on their first summer signing.’

The former Tottenham forward did well for the London club’s youth ranks, scoring 44 goals in 60 appearances and also picking up 13 assists, per Transfermarkt. He is now playing for Lyon’s B-team where he has made four appearances for the French side in the UEFA Youth League and scored two goals.
These stats shows that, at the age of 20, the player looks to have a lot of potential and could have been a very good acquisition for a Sheffield Wednesday side who have now lost Jacob Murphy, Steven Fletcher and Atdhe Nuhiu, their three top goal scorers from the Championship in 2019/20.
Here is what these Owls fans said following the news about Griffiths:
Is that a definite NO or just a we don’t want to confirm anything so people don’t get their hopes up “no” do you think?

Why would we want a young exciting striker that scores goals. We don’t want any of that here.

Why would we want a striker, we’re overflowing with strikers, #MonkDoingAStandUpJob
