# ‘Sign him up’ – Liverpool fans urge Klopp to land £36m-rated midfielder

***The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a few major names to move to Anfield this summer.***

It’s been a very good season for the Reds, but next season, they’ll be expected to get even better. At present, they’re arguably viewed as the closest competitors to Manchester City, particularly given that they defeated the Citizens in Europe earlier this season.

In order to close the gap, though, further reinforcements are needed.

Despite beating them in Europe, Man City are clearly a few steps ahead of Liverpool, and so a few new signings could help bridge the gap.

Offensive acquisitions and defensive reinforcements could well be on the agenda for Jurgen Klopp, but it appears as though the Liverpool fans over on Twiter are eager to see a new midfielder join the ranks at Anfield.

Indeed, it appears as though Brazilian midfielder Jorginho is a popular name amongst Liverpool circles, with the 26-year-old seemingly impressing fans. [Rated at £36 million by Transfer Markt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jorginho/profil/spieler/102017), the midfielder wouldn’t be cheap, but supporters clearly think that he could make a difference.

A talented, technically gifted midfielder, he has controlled the midfield over in Italy this season.

Liverpool’s decision to announce a friendly with Napoli, Jorginho’s current club, have only served to increase the demand, with some even suggesting that the announcement confirms that he will join the club.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…

> Jorginho just played a few short passes down the wing, lofted the ball into the box, made a couple of sideways passes and pointed at areas, in the space of a few minutes. [#lfc](https://twitter.com/hashtag/lfc?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) sign him up
