# ‘Solanke is the new Sturridge’ – Chelsea fans fume as Solanke looks set for Liverpool switch

***The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely furious that Dominic Solanke looks [set to swap SW6 for Merseyside](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/2884415/chelsea-transfer-news-dominic-solanke-liverpool/)…***

After all, the lethal striker has arguably been Chelsea’s most impressive youth player in recent years – with his deadly striking partnership with Tammy Abraham leading the Blues to a number of youth trophies in recent years.

However, with [Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard suggesting](https://twitter.com/sjstandardsport/status/832548408082694145) that the Blues are to let him leave at the end of the current campaign, it looks like the Englishman will no longer be a part of Antonio Conte’s plans going forward.

It will surely come as a blow, as the Englishman is a stellar player, but with his demands [reportedly](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/2884415/chelsea-transfer-news-dominic-solanke-liverpool/) at £50,000 per week – Chelsea have little choice.

That being said, the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern have not held back when it comes to highlighting their anger at Solanke’s decision – and the Blues on Twitter have taken a very similar stance.
