# Southampton: Fans loving club’s team spirit tweet following Aston Villa victory

**Southampton look to have turned a corner this season to put supporters in a much better mood.**

Their official Twitter account recently posted a picture of the team with the caption “team spirit”, and fans really enjoyed what they saw.

This comes after the Saints were able to beat Aston Villa 3-1 at Villa Park and climb out of the relegation zone.

Things looked really bleak earlier on the season, especially after the 9-0 thrashing by the hands of Leicester City. However, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have since gone on a [mini revival](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-southampton/spielplan/verein/180), with Danny Ings at the heart of it.

The 27-year-old was on the scoresheet again over the weekend after he fired past Villa twice to take his tally for the campaign to [11](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/danny-ings/profil/spieler/134294).

He was just one player to prominently feature in the picture that Southampton tweeted, making fans laugh as he posed with a silly face.

Indeed, the mood has certainly improved at St. Mary’s. Just take a look at some of the tweets below…
